Coconut Grove's Main Highway dining corridor gains another restaurant today when Manoli opens at 3540 Main Highway with Greek seafood, grilled lamb chops and a tableside dessert trolley.

The 140-seat restaurant is the vision of chef Emmanouil "Manoli" Aslanoglou, a Greek-born cook who trained at Michelin-starred kitchens Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in England and Arzak in Spain before leading the historic Vassilenas restaurant in Athens and appearing on "MasterChef Greece." He most recently cooked at Nammos in Southampton, New York.

"Manoli is deeply personal to me," Aslanoglou said in a May interview with the Miami New Times. "It reflects the way I grew up eating in Greece, food made with care and meant to be shared. I wanted to bring that feeling to Miami, where every table feels like home, and every meal feels like a celebration."

The restaurant fills the space at 3540 Main Highway that previously housed Sereia, a modern Portuguese restaurant that closed in May 2025 after 14 months despite earning a spot on the Florida Michelin Guide. Manoli joins Taurus and Michelin-starred Ariete on the same block.

Inside, the space features white tones, light woods and soft blues with sculpted wall niches evoking the Greek islands, according to the restaurant's press materials. Seating spans indoor, outdoor and bar areas.

The menu leans on shareable plates: dolmades, saganaki, crispy feta in phyllo with thyme honey, and gyro tacos made with Black Angus ribeye. A raw bar offers bigeye tuna tartare and seasonal oysters. Larger plates include whole branzino, Greek-style lamb chops and housemade pastas such as pastitsio and Athenian lobster. Meals end with a dessert trolley carrying baklava, profiteroles and warm-to-order Greek doughnuts.

The cocktail program, called "Sober Souls Diaries," was built by Greek beverage manager Fotis Mexi. Drinks draw on the Greek tragedians: the Hybris mixes vodka, cardamom, kumquat and saffron-lavender foam, while the Mira pairs mastiha with St-Germain and sparkling wine. The wine list focuses on Greek producers.

Manoli hosted a friends-and-family preview July 15, according to World Red Eye. The Miami New Times confirmed the public opening date of today in its weekly restaurant roundup.
