Grand Public Kitchen & Bar and Da Angelino Cucina Italiana, both at 3015 Grand Ave. in Coconut Grove, began participating in Miami Spice on Saturday, Aug. 1, adding two prix-fixe options to CocoWalk's growing restaurant lineup through Sept. 30.

Grand Public, which opened May 21 in the former Planta Queen space on CocoWalk's second floor, is offering a $40 lunch and brunch menu and a $50 dinner menu. Featured dishes include Beef Carpaccio, Lemon Fettuccine, and Tuna Tataki, plus chef-driven specials, according to the Biscayne Times.

The 7,400-square-foot restaurant comes from Toronto-based hospitality veterans Matthew Tsoumaris and Ryan Bassels of Uniq Hospitality. Chef Leo Pablo, whose résumé includes stints with Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Michael Mina, and Joël Robuchon, leads the kitchen.

"Coconut Grove's close-knit community made it the ideal home for our concept," Tsoumaris said in an April announcement for the restaurant.

Da Angelino, which opened Sept. 4, 2025, is a collaboration between Graspa Group and Ariete Hospitality Group. It marks Graspa's first Coconut Grove location and Ariete's first Italian concept. The restaurant is offering a $50 dinner menu nightly during Miami Spice, featuring Tartare di Tonno, Gnocchi alla Vodka, and classic Tiramisu.

Florence-born hospitality veteran Angelin Kometa, the restaurant's namesake, leads the front of house at the 4,441-square-foot space, which seats 150 guests across an indoor dining room and a garden-style patio with terra-cotta interiors and white-linen tablecloths. The opening brought an estimated 30 new jobs to the area, Community Newspapers reported.

The two restaurants join Isabelle's at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove and Mayfair Grill as Grove participants in this year's program. As we reported July 22, Miami Spice marks its 25th anniversary this year with updated pricing: $40 for lunch and brunch, $50 or $65 for dinner, and a new premium Reserve tier starting at $95.

The program is already underway. More than 300 restaurants across Greater Miami and Miami Beach are participating through the end of September.
