Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High School has released its 2026-27 Athletics Information Guide. The athletic clearance process is open for student-athletes planning to compete during the upcoming school year.

The guide, posted Tuesday, July 7, outlines the eligibility requirements students must complete before participating in any conditioning, practice or competition at the North Miami Beach magnet school.

Students must complete academic, medical and safety requirements

According to the school's athletic department, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade-point average, submit a physician-signed and notarized sports physical, provide proof of athletic insurance and complete three required National Federation of State High School Associations online safety courses before receiving clearance.

School officials encourage families to complete the process well before the start of fall practices to avoid delays in participation.

School offers 11 varsity sports throughout the year

The Sharks compete in 11 varsity sports across the fall, winter and spring seasons.

Fall sports include football, volleyball, cross country, swimming, bowling and golf. Additional winter and spring programs are listed in the athletics guide, which includes eligibility requirements, participation forms and contact information for coaches and athletic staff.
