The Key Biscayne Soccer Club is kicking off its new season with a free community cookout Saturday, Aug. 29, at Village Green Park.
The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. next to the fountain at 450 Crandon Blvd. The menu includes burgers, choripanes, hot dogs and milanesa sandwiches, served first-come, first-served. No registration is required.
KBSC, directed by Miguel Mesa, posted the announcement on its website Monday, Aug. 24. Organizer Mairien La O described the event as a season welcome cookout and an evening for families to gather as the fall schedule begins.
The club invited all island families to attend regardless of whether their children play in the program. Food will be available while supplies last.
Families can reach the club at (786) 660-4914 or at keybiscaynesoccerclub.com for more information.
