Key Biscayne residents can renew a driver's license, get help with their Rickenbacker Causeway pass or join a confidential support group between Tuesday and Thursday without leaving the island.

Three free services are scheduled at or near the Key Biscayne Community Center from Aug. 18 through Aug. 20. The center, run by the Village of Key Biscayne Parks and Recreation Department under director Todd Hofferberth, hosts two of the three sessions.

TConnect Mobile Office — Tuesday, Aug. 18

The Miami-Dade Tax Collector's TConnect Mobile Office will set up at the Community Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to the Islander News community calendar. The mobile unit handles driver's license renewals and replacements, ID cards, vehicle registration renewals, organ donor updates and handicap parking permits.

Appointments are required. Residents must bring all necessary documents. Call the Community Center front desk at (305) 365-8900 to schedule.

Women's Support Group — Wednesday, Aug. 19

A confidential women's support group meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 88 W. McIntyre St. The group focuses on overcoming loss, setting personal goals and building connection. Inquiries go to [email protected].

Rickenbacker Causeway Pass Renewal — Thursday, Aug. 20

Key Biscayne residents 65 and older can get hands-on help renewing their Rickenbacker Causeway Annual Pass from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, in the Lighthouse Lounge at the Community Center. Miami-Dade County representatives will walk seniors through the process, according to a Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce listing.

The annual pass costs $72. Payment must be made by check or money order only, and residents should bring copies of all required documents. For questions, call (305) 365-8953.

Seniors who miss the Aug. 20 session can attend the next one on Thursday, Sept. 10, same time and location.
