Noah Allen set up three goals on Wednesday, Aug. 5, powering Inter Miami CF to a 4-2 victory over Liga MX side Atlético de San Luis in the club's 2026 Leagues Cup opener at Nu Stadium.

The 22-year-old left back, who attended MAST Academy on Key Biscayne before joining Inter Miami's first team, completed what the club called a "hat trick of assists" — feeding Lionel Messi twice and Telasco Segovia once, all before halftime.

Allen's first assist came in the 13th minute: a pinpoint cross that Messi finished first-time into the top-left corner. He then surged down the left flank and delivered for Segovia from close range. His third, a first-time cross into the six-yard box in the 32nd minute, gave Messi his second of the night and his record-setting 14th career Leagues Cup goal, surpassing LAFC's Denis Bouanga for the all-time mark, according to Inter Miami's match recap.

"The first assist was something very, very difficult to do, and this is something also to celebrate," interim head coach Guillermo Hoyos said in post-match comments to MLSSoccer.com.

Inter Miami's official account celebrated Allen on Thursday, Aug. 6, with a post that tagged MAST Academy and Key Biscayne, calling him "Built here. Delivered here."

Allen joined Inter Miami's Academy in 2019 and signed his first professional contract in March 2022 at age 17. He has since made 79 first-team appearances across all competitions, earned a spot on MLS's 2025 22 Under 22 list at No. 12, and won the 2025 MLS Cup. The club extended his contract through the 2028 season in September 2025.

He is part of a growing pipeline connecting Key Biscayne soccer to the professional ranks. Benjamin Cremaschi, a Key Biscayne native who came up through Key Biscayne Soccer Club, is also on Inter Miami's first-team roster. The island's youth soccer club now enrolls roughly 1,100 children, nearly triple the approximately 400 it had around 2010.

Micael added Inter Miami's fourth goal. Atlético de San Luis scored through David Rodríguez in the 4th minute and Rafael Llorente in the 51st. Play was suspended for about 30 minutes in the 67th minute due to lightning.

Allen led all players in Leagues Cup assists after Round 1 with three, ahead of Columbus Crew's Taha Habroune (two) and Messi (one).

Inter Miami hosts CF Monterrey in its next Leagues Cup match Saturday, Aug. 8, at 8 p.m. at Nu Stadium.
